Behaviours affecting a parent-child relationship

It is so beautiful how Gottman's principles for a healthy amorous relationship can also be used effectively with children. His 4 horseman, which are specific behaviours, namely: criticism, contempt, defensiveness and stonewalling, can understandably have a significant impact if used with one's children and ultimately lead to an unhealthy parent-child relationship.
